Terms of service

Last updated October 7, 2026. These terms cover mail-in repair on this site. There is no store or cart here.

Arpino Dental (“we”) is a family-owned repair shop at 23 Quimby Lane, Box 59, Bernardsville, NJ 07924. Phone or text 1-718-236-4399. Email amanda@arpinodental.com. By using this website or sending equipment for repair, you agree to these terms.

The service

We repair dental handpieces and intraoral digital X-ray sensors that offices mail in. Typical ranges on brand pages are labeled typical. Your estimate is the number for your unit. No work starts without your approval.

Estimates and payment

Evaluation and an itemized estimate are provided upon request. If you decline an estimate, a return shipping fee applies. The fee depends on location. First-time handpiece specials (10% / 15% / 20%) apply to qualifying handpiece repairs only, not sensors. Electric repairs have a separate note on the home page. Volume specials do not apply to electric.

Shipping

  • The mailing label includes $100 of insurance only.
  • Return shipping is applied on all shipments under $1,000.
  • Sending 2 or more handpieces? Request your shipping label and we will schedule a free same-day FedEx pick-up anywhere in the USA. The free pick-up covers inbound shipping to us only. Return shipping terms above still apply.
  • Pack the unit so it cannot rattle. Use a padded box, not a plain envelope.
  • Handpieces lost because a package was not packed securely are not covered or replaced.
  • 48-hour / 2-day bench time is available upon request. Most repairs still ship back within two business days of arrival.

Warranty

Standard warranty periods, as confirmed on your estimate:

  • Handpiece repairs: 6 months.
  • Japanese turbines: 3 months.
  • Lube-free turbines: 1 year.
  • Digital X-ray sensor repairs: 4 months.

Exact coverage for your unit is confirmed on your written estimate. The warranty does not cover equipment subjected to apparent misuse, abuse, or accident. If a unit is not repairable, we tell you before work and no repair fee is charged.

Equipment left after an estimate

Call us about handpieces left in the shop more than 60 days after an estimate has been provided. Do not let a quote sit unanswered.

Replacement path

If repair is not economical, we say so. Tested refurbished units, when you need a spare, are sold on the Arpino eBay store. That store has its own listing terms. This website does not sell new handpieces.

The website

The site is for dental professionals. Do not scrape it, copy it as your own, or use it for anything other than learning about or requesting repair. We may update these terms by posting a new date on this page. Continued use after that date means you accept the update.
